Today, (02/22) we had a conversation with Maestro Marshall White. A kind and wise person and artist who loves movies and playing billiards.
Marshall A. White is the esteemed Founder and CEO of Unity Performing Arts Foundation in Fort Wayne, IN, and serves as the Director and Life Coach for the Voices of Unity Youth Choir. Established in July 2000, UNITY is dedicated to nurturing young individuals in character, artistry, and leadership through various performing arts, including choral music, dance, drama, and more. Under White's guidance, the Voices of Unity Youth Choir has achieved significant acclaim, including winning the World Grand Champion title at the 6th World Choir Games in Shaoxing, China, in 2010 and embarking on a successful four-country European tour in 2016 that included a special performance at the Vatican. White's leadership has also seen the choir perform alongside notable artists and at prestigious events, further solidifying its reputation on both national and international stages. His educational background includes electronic technology and vocal and music theory studies at Indiana University-Purdue University.
Fort Wayne and direct training under the late jazz pianist Willie Pickens at the American Conservatory of Music, Chicago. White's visionary leadership has been recognized with numerous awards, and he is a family man, married to Cynthia White since 1994, with three children and a stepson. (White, M., 2024)
