"Art is a great ride" with Kara J.

Today (10/12) we had a conversation with Kara Fahl Jaurigue ,the box and office manager at Heartland Sings,  Youth Director Plymouth Congregational Church, UCC, and the vocalist at Home by 10.

"Kara Fahl Jaurigue is a native of Fort Wayne and a graduate of South Side High School.  She has joined Heartland Sings as the Office Manager, and is stepping into the role Fran Page held for 25 years, until her retirement in early October.  Kara is a long time member of Plymouth Congregational Church, and has been the Youth Director on Staff, for the past 27 years.  She is also one of the Artistic Directors for the Boars Head and Yule Log Festival.  Kara's true passions are music and working with teenagers, and she has been lucky to enjoy doing both over the years.  In her spare time she is with family and friends, as well as singing with the band HomeBy10 (“it’s not just a band name, but a way of life”).  Her favorite job to date though, is being Mom, to Elyse and Andrew.  Kara is excited to be a part of the Heartland Sings family and says “music is good for the soul, period.  In a world with so many distractions, for me, to sit back in a theater, or even sitting on a cold metal bleacher watching marching bands, the music, it’s calming, and good for my soul”. (Jaurigue , K.)
