Curriculum Based Programs

In our curriculum based programs, Heartland Sings connects with students in kindergarten through high school.  These programs provide students with a depth of knowledge in language arts, history and civics.  Through our curriculum based programs, Heartland provides students with opportunities to experience and engage in teamwork and increase their understanding of topics while engaging in multiple Indiana Academic Standards.  


These programs may be customized for your classroom or for a larger school assembly.    


Programs can include, but are not limited to:

  • We Are the Dream: A Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemoration

  • Everybody Sing: Exploring word choice through emotions

  • Language Arts in Song: Building Comprehension through

    • Key details

    • Understanding sequence of events

    • Exploring character development

    • Identifying settings

    • Describing plots

    • Drawing conclusions and inferences from text
