Yom Hashoah at Congregation Achduth Vesholom

The community Yom Hashoah - Holocaust Remembrance Day - commemoration will be held on Monday, April 16 at 7 p.m. at the Rifkin Campus at 5200. The guest speaker is Martin Goldsmith, former host of NPR’s Performance Today and author of The Inextinguishable Symphony and Alex’s Wake. The program is sponsored by the Jewish Federation of Fort Wayne.

Cherry Blossom Festival 2018 (Fort Wayne, IN)

From noon to 5pm, the downtown Allen County Public Library will be alive with Japanese arts, crafts and culture, from our popular Goldfish Catch and Chopstick Challenge games for kids to Karaoke for older folks. Activities will take place on the Plaza, in the Great Hall, in the downstairs auditorium, the Gallery, and in Children’s Services. Five hours ... so little time and so much to do!!! Come and experience a little bit of Japan! See why thousands of people visit the Cherry Blossom Festival in Fort Wayne each year.

An Evening with Cole Porter (Cole Porter Festival 2018)

In a small Indiana town, on June 9th 1891, the genius we know as Cole Albert Porter was born. He went on to write over 1500 songs for Broadway productions, movies, and television. Today his music lives on. Every year on the second weekend of June, we celebrate his brilliance, and honor his life and music, with the Cole Porter Festival, in his hometown of Peru, Indiana.
